Project Pan: Weekly Makeup Tray | Week 2

After I got inspired by Instagram posts and blogs of their Project Pan journey, I decided to start my own! I thought this is a great idea to use all of my makeup and eventually reach the pan. Also, this would help me control my  money spending and be conscious of what I buy.

Makeup Collection

Last week’s tray mostly contained makeup suitable for an everyday look. Even though I mentioned last time that I can use other bases for blogging purposes, it was hard to stick strictly with the rules.

Weekly Makeup Tray_Week 1

It was a little bit difficult to stay on track especially when my long-gone orders from four weeks ago started arriving at my door. I sure swatched and tried them for a bit which kind of break the rule, ain’t it? This week, I decided to add a “Glam Tray” instead. This is to make sure that I would not go rummaging my makeup chest again. This lead me to change some of my rules (for now):

  1. I will be preparing two makeup trays every week: Everyday Tray and Glam Tray.
  2. Lipsticks are an exception not unless included. It will always be based upon my mood, event and eye look.
  3. In case I am filming tutorials and/or taking photos for blog purposes, the featured item I am reviewing can only be used for that matter.
  4. I will reduce buying makeup but if so, I will be more conscious.
  5. My goal is to reach the pan so it is possible that I would use some of my current selection until next week.
  6. I will unsubscribe to (some) makeup newsletter. Y’all know letting go is hard.

Everyday Tray

Everyday Tray_Week 2

  • Primer: Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer
  • Foundation: Nude by Nature Natural Mineral Cover Powder Foundation – Beige
  • Concealer: Maybelline New York Face Studio Master Concealer – 40 Medium
  • Contour  and Blusher: Revlon Bronzer – 035 Sun/Solei
  • Highlighter: Revlon Highlighting Palette – 030 Bronze Glow/Eclat Bronze
  • Eyebrows: Colourette Cosmetics Browfessional Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil – Ash
  • Eyeshadow: Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette
  • Mascara: Maybelline Volum’ Express The Colossal Mascara
  • Eyeliner: ELF Precision Liquid Liner – Blac
  • Lips: Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm – 145 Inguene and Revlon ColorBurst Balm Stain – 001 Honey Douce

I love how my Nude by Nature Natural Mineral Cover Powder Foundation worked on my skin so I decided to include it again. Almost everything retained from the last tray. This week, I thought of adding some tinted balms and a primer.

Glam Tray

Glam Tray_Week 2

  • Primer: W7 Cosmetics Prime Magic Camera Ready
  • Foundation: ELF Acne Fighting Foundation – Buff and ELF Flawless Finish Foundation – Buff
  • Concealer: Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer – Soft Beige
  • Contour: ELF Cream Contour Palette
  • Blush: BYS Blush Trio – On The Bright Side
  • Highlighter: BYS Ultra Glow Palette – Star Gazer and Chella Highlighter Pencil – Ivory Lace
  • Eyebrows: ELF Lock On Liner and Brow Cream – Medium Brown and Daiso Style Eyeliner Retractable Pencil
  • Eyeshadow: Colourette Peach Purrfect Mineral Eyeshadow Palette
  • Mascara: Maybelline Volum’ Express The Colossal Mascara
  • Eyeliner: Rimmel Glam Eyes Professional Liner
  • Setting: ELF Perfect Finish HD Powder and Maybelline Face Studio Master Fix Setting Spray
  • Lips: Anything goes!

This tray has a little more than the first one. Full coverage glam will be the focus of this tray. Even though both ELF foundations have same shade names, the Flawless Finish Foundation seemed to be darker than the Acne Fighting Foundation. I thought of mixing the two because I am beginning to tan again since summer has officially started here in Australia.

So far I am happy with how my Project Pan is going. This is one of the brilliant ideas I just yet unravelled.

More to go!

  2. I like the idea of ‘preparing two trays’ each week excluding lipstick to make the most of your palettes. An Everyday Tray and a Glam Tray is a brilliant idea and is a concept I might try using if that is ok?
